Northern Areas, known as heaven by adventure lover, offers
great opportunities for mountaineering and mountain related
activities like trekking and mountain climbing. Here three
great Mountain ranges, the Karakorams, the Himalayas and the
Hindukush meets, are forming the densest concentration of
high peaks of the world. There are more then 100 peaks over
7000 meters and countless 6000 meters peaks as well as five
mountains over 800 meters including k-2 the world 2nd highest
mountain. Beside high peaks, these mountains ranges contain
the longest glaciers out side the polar region. There are
many lakes including the renowned and unique snow lake making
this region to be the best for the trekking.
